Geochemistry of the Macraes Gold Deposit,stantially. Sulphur was introduced during mineralisation as well, but some unmineralised protoliths have locally-elevated sulphur in metamorphic pyrite. There is a subtle Mo anomaly in some mineralised black sheared rocks. Gold ranges from 0.1 to >10 ppm through large volumes of rock in the shear zone.

Graphite and Shear Zone Evolution,raphite deposition had physical effects on shear-related mineralisation, by lubricating the structures with positive feedback effects. In addition, graphite has had geochemical effects on mineralisation by facilitating low redox replacement reactions and gold deposition.
