The recent sediments of Lough Neagh,ntial shifts in the flora and fauna of the lake have taken place during the twentieth century. However, because of the unreliability of some of these early data and since there are no detailed studies between 1910 and the present (1968 onwards) it is impossible to use the early records on their own
