Study Areaty were needed to produce artificial rain. Since groundwater is much more constant in composition than surface water, areas with easy access to groundwater are also desirable. Two areas (A and B) in south Norway were found suitable for the experiments (Fig. 2.1). Area A is located in Akershus countySTERN 发表于 2025-3-22 04:24:46
Experimentsm per irrigation were applied to experiment A-1 and lysimeter series 1. All the other experiments received 50mm artifical rain in each watering (Tables 3.1 and 3.2). At each location, unwatered plots served as controls for the effects of irrigation. None of the experiments were sheltered from natura600 发表于 2025-3-22 07:42:08
Soil Biology: Soil Animals and Soil Acidityo the release of plant nutrients, but there is a need for more exact quantitative knowledge in this field (e.g., Anderson et al. 1983; Seastedt 1984; Hågvar 1988; Abrahamsen 1990; Setälä and Huhta 1990, 1991; Setälä et al. 1990; Huhta et al. 1991).overrule 发表于 2025-3-22 11:29:33
Soil Biology: Soil Microflora and Soil Acidityof available nutrients for the growth of trees. In such soils most of the fine roots of forest trees will be in an intimate symbiotic association with the mycelia of different fungi, thus greatly increasing the absorbing surface area of the tree roots.pester 发表于 2025-3-22 16:34:47
Trees: Nutritiones in the nutrient supply due to increased loss of plant nutrients from soil or increased atmospheric supply of sulfur and nitrogen, or reduced uptake of nutrients due to toxic compounds in the soil. The studies reporated here are focused on the effects of experimental acidification by sulfuric acidintention 发表于 2025-3-22 19:48:35

Simple correlation coefficients were calculated for the relationship between nutrients and A1 in the current-year needles (dependent variable), and soil pH, the concentrations of exchangeable Ca, Mg, Mn, K, and extractable SO. ions in the soil (independent variables) (see Table 10.1 for experimAura231 发表于 2025-3-23 04:17:05
Ground Vegetation: The B-2 Experimenter of each plant species in the sample plot was estimated visually to the nearest whole percent. Nomenclature follows Lid (1985) for vascular plants, Smith (1980) and Grolle (1976) for mosses, and Krog et al. Monolith Lysimeterss A-1 and A-3. The treatments in these two lysimeter experiments correspond to most of the treatments in the field experiments (Tables 3.1 and 3.2). Similar to the method used in the field experiments, the artificial rain applied to the lysime ters was produced from groundwater to which different qu
