Mechanism of Action of Lipoprotein Lipase and Hepatic Triglyceride Lipase-II for maximal activity and is inhibited by 1 M NaCl whereas H-TGL is active at high salt concentrations and has no protein activator. To understand the mechanism of action of these lipolytic enzymes, we have developed a monolayer system for measurement of enzyme catalysis at a lipid interface. The
