Spenserian StanzasLike all the more complex stanza forms, the nine-line Spenserian stanza begins with a heroic quatrain but then expands on the form, in this case by adding a second, linked quatrain and a concluding couplet which in turn links to the second quatrain, making the stanza look and feel like a super-charged rhyme royal.
