HBr Laser Emission at 4 μm Based on the Chemical Generation of Bromine AtomsThe HBr laser is of interest because its operating wavelength of 4 µm is well suited to applications which require high atmospheric transmission. We report here an extension of our work on purely chemical HCl lasers which has now led to the development of a purely chemical HBr laser.
