Numerical Calculations of Laser Interaction with Plasmas Including Momentum Transfer of the Nonlineauppression has been demonstrated. Generation and Suppression of Fast-Ions from a Laser-Plasma and Related Self-Focussing Effectsarget at the same maximum intensities used with a single pulse. When fast ions are suppressed anomalous groups of high energy ions are emitted parallel to the target surface. An explanation of this effect is closely related to ponderomotive force self-focussing in laser-produced plasmas and recent results on this phenomenon will be presented.
