Kriminologie, Sicherheit und die herrschende Normalität des ungleichen Sterbens eine kritisch kriminologische und weniger verbreitete Lesart naheliegend, der zufolge die strafrechtliche Zuschreibung „Kriminalität“ selbst Ausdruck von Herrschaftsinteressen ist und spezifische Funktionen erfüllt. Es wäre insofern keineswegs zufällig, dass manche tödlichen Dinge strafbewehrt sind und andere nicht.
