Acidum agaricinicum,it, die Lackmuspapier rötet und sich beim Crkalten trübt. Agarizinsäure löst sich in etwa 180 Leilen Weingeist von 20° und in 10 Leilen siedendem Weingeist. Die Lösung von Agarizinsäure in Kalilauge oder Ammoniakslüssigkeit ist klat und schäumt stark beim Schütteln.
