Could There Have Been a “General Theory” Without Keynes? tion to belittle Keynes’ own contribution and to suggest that the essential “Keynesian revolution”—whatever may be meant by that—could and would have occurred without Keynes. I propose to devote my contribution to this volume to an attempt to assess Keynes’ own part in that revolution.
