Osman Bey’s , (1873): A Liberal Antisemitism?on. The chapter unveils the sources of Osman Bey’s pamphlet, which lay in French liberal historiography and in theories of classic political economy. Liberalism is thus shown to have nurtured a new kind of liberal, secular and transnational stream of antisemitic ideas.
