Mandatory Prosecution,s been criticized because many of the persons charged through mandatory prosecution were found not guilty at trial, but just because a case ends in acquittal does not mean it should not have been charged. Indeed, when prosecutors fail to charge difficult cases, they are abrogating one of their most important responsibilities.
