Depth Profiling of Deuterium and Helium in Metals by Elastic Proton Scattering: A Measurement of thelties. The reaction cross sections are relatively small so that in order to obtain good statistics considerable fluences of the probing ion must be used. This results in both long counting times and perturbation of the systems studied because of implantation of the probing beam.

The Treatment of Energy-Loss Fluctuations in Surface-Layer Analysis by Ion Beamsf low-energy protons in medium- and high-atomic-number materials. This paper also presents experimental measurements of the distributions of energy losses for 1-MeV protons after penetrating thin targets of nitrogen and xenon. The agreement between predicted and experimental distributions is good.

Analysis of Nuclear Scattering Cross Sections by Means of Molecular IonsIf fractions of molecular ions are detected with surface harrier detectors, the relations between the quantities of signals with different pulse heights provide an analysis of nuclear scattering cross sections. Monte-Carlo-Calculations are compared with experiments, performed with H.-ions.
