Fundamentals of Design of Experiments and Optimization: Experimental Designs in Response Surface Metthe combination of process variables with mixture variables. Additionally, the use of constraints in the delimitation of experimental spaces in both process and mixture designs is also introduced and discussed. Moreover, a brief description of non-randomized designs is presented.

Quality by Design in Pharmaceutical Product and Process Developmental and formulation attributes is provided, based on the most representative manufacturing processes as well as representative examples from literature. In the final section, examples of intermediate and final quality attibutes for the development of different dosages forms (solid, liquid, and topical) are presented.

Quality by Design Applications to Development of Analytical Methods for Quality Control of Pharmaceuesponse surface methodology (RSM) are used to assess the critical method parameters (CMPs) and to define the method operable design region (MODR).
