Concluding Remarks on Quasiclassical Approach to Gas-Surface Scatteringpling approach and could be used as a source for many well known dynamical approximation, widely used in gas - surface scattering, to mention here only different versions of perturbation theory and sudden approximation just a few.

Book 1995ecessary to use different levels of description: microscopic, kinetic, and gas-dynamical. A unified quasiclassical approach is used to answer practical questions dealing with inelastic gas-surface scattering, the kinetics of adsorption layers, the evolution of inhomogeneities and defects at the surf

Multiphonon Scatteringintegration yields . where . = 3./(2.), . is the Debye temperature, . = . = . is the Debye frequency, . is the sound velocity, . is the Debye wave number and Si(.) denotes the integral sinus. These expressions are quite complicated and cannot be used for low scattering energies, when the wall is “soft”, and at low surface temperatures.

Physical Models of Elementary Processes, Transition Probabilities, and Kinetic Coefficientsmodynamics and phenomenology, and from experiment. We are going to consider here some models of elementary processes in adsorbed layer and corresponding approximations for the probabilities and kinetic coefficients.
