Fabrication of Monomode Polymer Waveguides by Replication TechniqueAn embossing technique is utilized to press waveguide grooves into thermoplastic substrates. The grooves are subsequently filled with higher refractive index polymer resulting in low loss single mode waveguides for 1.32μm wavelength.
