Upper bounds on the Lyapunov exponents for dissipative perturbations of infinite dimensional Hamiltequations which are zero order dissipative perturbations of hamiltonian systems. This includes local and nonlocal dispersive wave equations (like e.g. the K-dV equation, the Benjamin-Ono equation,...) and nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Some of these applications are new.
