Individual Reports from JETDLAG Contributorshow larger linewidths than selected Double Heterostructure (DH) lasers. However, BH-lasers turn out to be less sensitive to optical feedback than DH-lasers. The technical project goals were fulfilled. The BMBF decided not to fund further laser development at present. This will put some risk on a future european supply of lasers.
