Wavelength selection of spiral waves in liquid crystalsg-Landau type equation. Based on exact results just above the threshold of the Ising-Bloch transition, which is at the origin of spiral wave nucleation, we determine the selected frequency of the spiral wave as a function of the physical parameters. The core structure of the spiral appears to be fundamental.
