Information Dynamics,ate change together with such complexities ., which is a kind of synthesis of the dynamics of state change and complexity. Here we explain what information dynamics is and indicate how it can be used to define the dynamical entropy. Some of concrete applications of information dynamics are discussed in Chap. 8 of this volume.

Fractals with Information,et clear. However, the idea of Mandelbrot is interesting from the point of view of scientific recognition. We explain here the mathematical foundations of fractals, with some modifications, and we introduce a new concept of the fractal dimension for state spaces, not for geometrical sets.

Book 1997presented his original results in the physical part of the theory developed in the Torun school. Unfortunately, this preprint was never published in English. The present book contains all these results in a much more modern and developed form.
