Polypropylene/Montmorillonite Nanocomposites: Continuous Stretching and Load-Cycling,6] have been reported. Layered silicates can be mixed with polypropylene in the melt state using conventional polymer processing machinery . Nevertheless, incompatibility of layered silicates with hydrophobic polypropylene chains provokes problems with dispersing them inside the matrix .

HDPE/PA Microfibrillar Composites Under Load-Cycling, resistance to dynamic loads (i.e. low fatigue ) is required. In this chapter we examine the evolution of the nanostructure under slow load-cycling in HDPE/PA oriented MFC precursors that have not been subjected to the final compression molding processing step which removes the orientation of the HDPE matrix.

Large-Scale Gaussian Process Classification with Flexible Adaptive Histogram Kernels to previous approaches, we use a full Bayesian model without any sparse approximation techniques, which allows for learning in sub-quadratic and classification in constant time. To handle the additional model flexibility induced by parameterized kernels, our approach is able to optimize the paramet

Ritual or Lethal? Bronze Weapons in Late Shang Chinay quantities and varieties as shown by the rich burial assemblages known from the period. However, their practical usages are not yet well-understood, and scholars speculate whether the weapons were functional implements or symbolic/prestige items. The chapter discusses the first wear analysis ever
