Properties, to cavitation of HIS was distinctly better. Submersion tests and current density-potential tests in diluted aqueous solutions of H.SO., HCl and NaCl were performed to characterise the corrosion resistance. The pitting resistance of HIS appears to be superior to that of standard CrNi steel.
