Beyond “Risks or Benefits”ren. Three terms widely used in “risks or benefits” research are discussed: attentional inertia, screen time and passivity. This book responds to a more recent call for “a more nuanced approach” to “screen media”, through its analyses of viewing behaviour and a more informed account of how movies convey meaning.
