Tip-Scanning HS-AFMis restriction is more rigorous in HS-AFM. In contrast, tip-scanning (stationary sample) AFM has no such restriction. There is an additional advantage: a tip-scanning AFM system can be easily combined with other systems such as optical microscopes.
