Real-time signal processing in a collision avoidance radar system using parallel computing,ions of obstacles in 3 dimensions. The main problem is to separate the real obstacles from ghosts amongst noise and clutter, up to a distance of 12.8 m. This paper discusses the signal processing algorithms as well as the related real-time parallel computer hardware and system software.

The scenario management tool SMARTFED for real-time interactive high performance networked simulatiing and control of networked simulations. The scenario management tool also offers functionalities to define and execute scenarios. This paper describes SMARTFED and its use in networked real-time high performance simulations. The envisaged use of SMARTFED in aerospace applications is illustrated by NLR‘s DELTA federation.
