Bearing Witness to the Epidemic,thout considering the impact on those who are still dealing with the pain of what they experienced. Interviewees aimed to both contest and extend existing understandings of their collective experiences as gay men with HIV across the 1980s and 1990s. They sought to give voice to an experience that many felt has been forgotten.
