Evaluation of Reactive Transport Processes in a Heterogeneous Porous Aquifer Within a Non-Parametricperiments. Multiple realizations of the K and R fields are generated to simulate the observed tracer transport stochastically. According to the results, the stochastic transport model seems suitable for highly heterogeneous aquifers such as at the ‘Horkheimer Insel’ test site.

Rational Use of Colour in Presentations,Groundwater modelling has become a reliable tool for solving groundwater budgeting and contamination problems. It has long been recognized, however, that the degree of reliability of this tool varies in proportion to the amount of information available on the heterogeneity of the flow system.

We conclude with a highly heterogeneous example that illustrates the relative ranges over which the empirical formula and our second order expansion are accurate.
