Physical Examination of the Shoulderusing independent distances we will be able to derive Hi mass functions and local star formation densities for the Local Volume as well as nearby galaxy groups such as the CenA and Sculptor groups. Properties of RR Lyrae Stars in the Inner Regions of the Large Magellanic Cloud. II. The Extended SaLMC RR Lyrae, and metallicities for 78 RR Lyrae, nearly tripling the previous sample. These targets are located in 11 fields covering a wide range of distances, out to 2.5 degrees from the center of the LMC. Diffuse Ionized Gas in the Dwarf Galaxy DDO 53 galaxies, the spectral characteristics are very diferent to those of the DIG in spiral galaxies: the excitation is higher and the much lower. A combination of leakage photoionization models plus shocks will be able to explain these characteristics.
