Schematic Representation of Biconnected Graphsr such schematic representations, according to different ways to account for the size of the small components. We map the problem of testing for the existence of such representations to the one of testing for the existence of suitably constrained 1-page book-embeddings and propose several polynomial-time and pseudo-polynomial-time algorithms.

Recently, Pupyrev disproved this conjectured by demonstrating a planar partial 3-tree that does not admit a 1-stack 1-queue layout. In this note, we strengthen Pupyrev’s result by showing that the conjecture does not hold even for 2-trees, also known as series-parallel graphs.
