Parallel Standard Interface Systems,onal representations ofpaths and cycles are studied. In this note we show that the known characterization for cycles does not immediately extend to even seemingly simple graphs such as theta graphs. Computing and Drawing Isomorphic Subgraphssubgraphs and introduce a spring algorithm which preserves isomorphic subgraphs and displays them as copies of each other. The heuristic has been tested extensively on four independent test suites. The drawing algorithm yields nice drawings which cannot be obtained by standard spring algorithms.

Geometric Systems of Disjoint Representativescharacterize the computational complexity of this geometric problem for the cases of .. and .. metrics and dimensions . = 1, 2. We show that for . = 1 the problem can be solved in polynomial time, while for . = 2 we prove that it is .-hard. Our .-hardness proof can be adjusted also for higher dimensions.
