Formation of Narrow Ringlets in Saturn’s Ringslow. As a result the interparticle collisions will tend to increase density gradient, leading to formation of gaps, sharp edges, or narrow ringlets. Numerical 3-dimensional collisional simulations including satellite perturbations can capture the essence of this process.

Kinetic Theory for 1D Granular Gasesequation. We find that for low dissipative regimes, there is excellent agreement between our theoretical predictions for the macroscopic fields, and the measurementes from molecular dynamics simulations.
