Einleitung,Die Verfahren der spanenden Formung (Zerspantechnik) sind nach der DIN 8580 der Hauptgruppe Trennen zugeordnet, d. h. die Formänderung erfolgt unter örtlicher Aufhebung des Stoffzusammenhaltes. Charakteristisch für diese Verfahren ist das Abtrennen von Materialteilchen in Form von Spänen, die Abfall darstellen.
