Stability and Optimal Convergence of Unfitted Extended Finite Element Methods with Lagrange Multipl Additional stabilization on pressure (Brezzi-Pitkäranta, Interior Penalty) is added, if needed. We prove the stability and the optimal convergence of several variants of these methods under appropriate assumptions. Finally, we perform numerical tests to illustrate the capabilities of the methods.

The Education of the Academic Administratoroblem which we discretize using the restriction of the bulk finite element space to the fibre together with a continuous/discontinuous finite element formulation. Here the bulk material stabilizes the problem and it is not necessary to add additional stabilization terms.
