The Role of Microbial Metabolites in Biological Controllic compounds, such as rhamnolipids and lipopeptides, and polyketides such as 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG). We describe the structures, biosynthetic pathways, and modes of action that allow for crop protection. We also present commercial biocontrol solutions containing these active secondary metabolites or the bacterial strains.
