The Organization of Research at the Institute for Physical Problemse focus of scientific research in Britain. On the basis of this experience I felt that Western organizational patterns of research were not fully applicable here. I was convinced that we had to work out our own organizational patterns of scientific research at the institute and even more so for our science generally.
