Fuzzy Filters for Noise Reduction in Images have now been discovered using other detection methods that may be more successful in detecting terrestrial-type planets. In this chapter we will review the main physical properties of the exoplanets (and their parent stars) discovered to date (28 February 2007) and will review the expectations of forthcoming observations.

We anticipate similar advances will also occur with multi-object Doppler planet surveys in the next decade.
