Excitatory Amino Acid Transmitters In Cerebellum And Optic TectumThis review presents evidence which favors a special role of aspartate in the climbing fibers of the rat cerebellum and of glutamate and aspartate in some fibers of the pigeon optic nerve. The localisation and properties of kainic acid binding sites in the cerebellum are also discussed.
