Mandibular Segment,Only two articulations within the mandibular segment are discussed here: the dentary-dentary and predentary-dentary joints. Contacts between post-dentary bones occur as relatively simple and firm butt or scarf configurations and probably add little, if anything, to skull mobility during mastication. As a result, these joints will not be described.
