Changes introduced in estimated Gmax and Gmin values in this edition of the Atlas, thod used in this revision is explained in detail in Appendix 3, where the associated climatology of monthly mean minimum daily radiation is also developed. In this revision, satellited sites are assumed to have the same Gmax/Gomax and Gmin/Go values as the sites, to which they are satellited.

Comments on slope tables, to a summer minimum in June, then rise to a secondary peak in early October, finally dropping back to a winter minimum in January. The mean values, being more dominated by diffuse radiation do not reveal the same strong dip.

Global radiation on horizontal surfaces, ossible in drawing the contours. Nevertheless microclimates are not evaluated in this Atlas, hence local features impacting on global radiation should be evaluated, when using the Atlas, especially in mountainous areas and on the sea coast. In such situations, data taken directly from the maps should be handled with caution.
