On the Modes of Regulation of Intracellular Cyclic AMP: Desensitization of Adenylyl Cyclases to Horones and by nucleotides and nucleosides with regulation of PDE activities both in rapid and reversible manners as well as in slow and possibly protein synthesis dependent manners; and with regulation of exit rates of cyclic AMP as seen in some cell lines after virus transformation.

Methods for the Study of Cyclic AMP Metabolism in Intact Cells,that hormones elicit a rise in cellular cAMP levels by activation of adenylate cyclase. However, if some degree of turnover of cAMP occurs under basal conditions, then theoretically, the steady state level of cAMP could be raised by either an increase in its rate of synthesis or a decrease in its rate of degradation.

Cyclic AMP Metabolism of Some Fibroblastic and Epithelial Cells ,,rnatively, the accumulation of cyclic AMP in intact cells often is viewed as a measure of the rate of intracellular production and destruction of cyclic AMP. In this report we would like to discuss these notions.
