In Norwegian coastal waters extensive larval surveys have been carried out in which fish larvae have been collected with Clarke-Bumpus plankton samplers (e.g. Wiborg, 1954, 1960; Dragesund, 1970; Dragesund, Gjøsaeter and Monstad, 1972).
