Atmospheric Environmental Information — An overview with Canadian examples air quality data is provided. Some suggestions are given as to a framework for designing systems to handle atmospheric environmental data. Modelling ecological change on Set-aside arable land using a GIS approachplant distributions to a model of successional change. Speedy manipulation of both data and models is achieved through a customised user-interface. The results can be used to inform management decisions taken at the farm scale to maximise the ecological benefits of the set-aside scheme.
