Within this context, plans and policies ought also to be subjected to some form of EIA in order to foresee their consequences.

Texts and Readings in Mathematicst environment, the human environment, the social environment, all of which have differing but overlapping connotations. Speaking within one specific discipline it is easy simply to say ‘the environment’ and to forget the word may be used in a restricted sense.
