On Processing Temporal Observations in Monitoring of Discrete-Event Systemse. Since such a computation is expensive, a naive generation of the index space from scratch at the occurrence of each observation fragment becomes prohibitive in real applications. To cope with this problem, the paper introduces an incremental technique for efficiently modeling and indexing temporal observations of DESs.

Retrieval of Collaborative Filtering Nearest Neighbors in a Content-Addressable Spaceng the nearest neighbors search applied by the CF to a set potentially highly similar users. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed approach is capable of generating accurate recommendations, while significantly improving the performance in comparison with the traditional implementation of the CF.
