Austerity and Kenneth Darrell Waters,yton married in 1943. This chapter examines Blyton’s life after the Second World War and her responses to some of the changes taking place including the election of a Labour government in 1945. Politically Blyton was by this time Conservative and she was very suspicious of the changes taking place.
