,Women in political élites,If women’s political behaviour increasingly resembles men’s at the grassroots, differences remain stark further up the ladder. Women are still grossly under-represented within those élites, where by definition political power is concentrated. Why should this be so and, from a feminist viewpoint, does it matter?
