Energy Efficient Scheduling for Real-Time Systems with Mixed Workloadroaches, the SS-DVS does not need to know the workload and the worst case execution time of aperiodic tasks in advance. Experimental results show that the proposed SS-DVS obtains better energy reduction (17% ~ 22%) while maintaining the same response time compared to existing approaches.

Compiler Support for Dynamic Pipeline Scaling is exploited to devise an analytical model to assess the cost of enabling DPS mechanism. As a consequence we can determine the switching timing between pipeline modes at compiler time without causing significant run-time overhead. The experimental result shows that our approach is effective in reducing energy consumption.
