Square Wave Circuits,o be in either the cutoff state or saturation. When a transistor is saturated the maximum current is flowing because all of the available current carriers are being used. When a silicon bipolar junction transistor is saturated, the voltage across it, from emitter to collector, is about 0.3 V.
