Net Photosynthesis and Water Status of Apple Seedlings Under Developing Drought Conditions: Effects to a more favourable plant water status which was the result of a lower evaporating leaf area. Osomotic adjustment as a mechanism to maintain turgor at low leaf water potentials was not enhanced in any of the treatments.
