NGOs and Listening, a new theoretical framework, ‘The Listening Zones of NGOs’, as a structuring principle. By adopting the Listening Zones framework, the book aims to position languages and cultural awareness as key elements in addressing an alleged disregard for local communities on the part of NGOs.
